    About Edith G.

I have a BM in Vocal Performance where I studied vocal pedagogy. My experience as a professional singer has well equipped me to help you prepare for an audition or show, overcome stage-fright, and set vocal goals. Feel free to ask me any questions and keep reading if you’re interested in my performing experience…otherwise let’s get singing! Having gotten my start in musical theatre, I have a particular love of English, modern, and contemporary opera. I created the role of Rachel in Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer’s If I Were You with Merola Opera Company and workshopped Ricky Ian Gordon and Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel with Lincoln Center Theater in NYC. But my love and study of all music allows me to move effortlessly between the different eras of music with performances of roles and scenes from La Cenerentola (Tisbe), Falstaff (Meg), La belle Hélène (Hélène), Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Sesto), and La Voix Humaine (Elle). With an expertise in the annals of classical musical theatre, my roles have ranged from Eliza Doolittle to Julie Jordan. I’m is equally adept at contemporary material, including Cats (Grizabella) and most recently, Ordinary Days (Claire).
