My name is Eben, and I want to help you reach your learning goals. I want to share what I know with you and help you develop the skills and knowledge that you want.
I have been Audio engineering, first as a hobby and now professionally, for over ten years. Songs I have produced, composed and/or engineered are available on Spotify, iTunes and many other stores. I have taught mixing and recording to artists and aspiring audio engineers, who have gone on to produce records and demo tapes of their own.
Besides music, I have also worked as an ESL and Japanese tutor. I have helped dozens of international speakers improve their English skills. I also speak Japanese and can teach beginner land intermediate level Japanese. 日本語もできるから、日本語で英語を教えるのは私の専門です。
I have 3 B.A.s from Pennsylvania State University (Japanese, Asian Studies and Communication Studies) and graduated Cum Laude. I am a member of phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and a recipient of various awards and scholarships. I have proven my commitment to education and look forward to teaching as well as learning.
So, I you want a teacher that is fun, knowledgeable and easygoing, take one of my lessons. I am sure we will have fun and learn some great new skills together!

I never thought I could learn to play guitar after spending so many years trying to teach myself so I'm so glad a friend recommended Eben! He really knows how to break down difficult (and boring) topics into things that are fun and interactive, and I would have never thought that learning the basics like scales and reading music could be so easy and quick. I'm so excited to start my band since Eben taught me how to be a true performer!+ Read More
By some stroke of luck I managed to find Eben on this website. From start to finish you can tell he really enjoys teaching other what he knows and at such an affordable price I almost feel guilty that I've already been able to learn so much!
Really cool guy! Knows how to break things down so you don't get too overwhelmed in just one course. Definitely going back for more sessions!
Eben really knows what he's talking about and has the portfolio to back it up. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to understand the audio jargon and techniques, but he structures his courses in a way that enables effortess learning all while having fun! (watch out for his corny jokes though haha)+ Read More
