I am a performing musician and teacher who graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in Musical Studies. Additionally, I began teaching and tutoring subjects in science and standardized test prep during the summer after 11th grade, helping students grasp fundamental principles of our world as well as achieve more desirable SSAT results. I strive to bring the right balance of patience and enthusiasm into all situations, whether working through beatbox flute grooves or evaluating multiple choice vocabulary questions. In music lessons, I strive to offer as much stylistic and historical context as possible, so that students are able to gain a broader understanding of given material, as well as an open yet focused path to exploring their instrument. Ultimately, I wish to help students achieve their goals through harnessing their own strengths for musical and academic applications "beyond the page."

Dylan is a very patient teacher who taught me my first musical instrument step by step. I had absolutely no background in music before and now able to play flute decently after a few classes with Dylan. He is very enthusiastic and a dedicated teacher.
