Through the years I have developed and fine tuned my teaching method to have the ability to adjust it to the specific needs of each student. I believe that if my students begin playing something that actually sounds like music in the beginning

Hi, my name is Dustin and I have ten years experience teaching in a professional environment at a successful music store in the area where I live. My teaching experience is vast and varied. I have worked with students as young as three years old, as well as adults in their 70's. I have also worked with several students  who have various forms of Autism and the results have been and are remarkable. I believe that teaching a student how to make music right out of the starting gate, will encourage the student to make music and its creation a life-long habit. Music truly is an expression of the inner person. Let me help you learn the language of music, so that you may express yourself through your instrument.

Dustin has a great way of incorporating useful skills and practice into what you want to learn in just about any genre (I learned everything from rock and metal all the way to acoustic finger picking). 

Most importantly, as an instructor he is comfortable and natural. He doesn't make it embarrassing to mess up, and he provides ways to improve without being harsh.

Dustin is a great teacher. He is always letting me do the songs that I want to learn. He is constantly encouraging me even when I get frustrated at myself. He also takes me to new levels by making me sing in concerts which is out of my confort zone.  He is my teacher, but I also consider him a friend.

My daughter Madilyn has been taking lessons from Dustin for about 2 and a half years and has loved every minute of it. Dustin is very professional and has helped Madilyn's love of the guitar grow and with Dustin's help, Madilyn's talents have improved. We would highly recommend Dustin to anyone interested in learning to play the guitar.

I took lessons from Dustin for about three years, and honestly could not have hoped for a better guitar instructor. Not only was Dustin kind, patient, and helpful, he also took interest in the music I liked so he could teach me songs that would keep me interested in learning. He taught me how to play from the soul and to apply my feelings to the music rather than just learning how to memorize a few chords. Dustin doesn't just teach you how to play your instrument, he teaches you how to take your emotions and make them come to life through music. For 3 whole years I never left a lesson from Dustin without a smile on my face. It was an honor to take lessons from such a passionate and talented individual.

I have been taking lessons from Dustin for about a year now, and I have been really happy with my progress. He's great at being able to keep it challenging so that you improve, and make it fun at the same time so it's not frustrating.

We have been going to Dustin for a year now and my 11 year old son is always excited to see him.  He struggled with different guitar teachers but finally enjoys learning with Dustin.  Dustin is patient and kind and helps my son feel confident in his abilities.  I would highly recommend him to anyone without reservations!

I am a mother of 4 and I wanted to do something for myself.  I have been taking from Dustin for a month and have learned so much already.  I love the fact that I can ask to learn any song and he figures it out for me.  He is quite talented and I really enjoy learning the Ukulele.
