What are your dreams and goals for playing flute? We are fully equipped for Online lessons using Facetime, Facebook Messenger, or Zoom, your choice -- so this is a great time to jump on board! Whether playing flute with your school band, accompanying your friends, or just playing for your own enjoyment, I am prepared to make your music dreams a reality! Our Flute Belt system, similar to Karate belts, provides incentive for moving ahead. Lessons cover solo work from the classical repertoire and student choices, and group playing, which is rewarding and fun. Dr. Stephanie Bethea

Stephanie has extensive flute experience: she is principal flute of the Skagit Symphony and has soloed with them several times, as well as performing in many area events and church services. Stephanie often adjudicates flutists at Solo and Ensemble festivals throughout Washington State. She is piano accompanist for the renowned 130-voice Skagit Valley Chorale. Stephanie has studied flute with Josiah Thomas, John Wummer, Zart Domburian Eby and Donna Shin. She has been instructing in the Skagit Valley since 1987, and many student reviews are available on her website, deerlandflueandpiano.com.
