I am an accomplished math student and soon to be graduate student in Data Science. I have an extensive educational background in higher mathematics starting with Calculus taken while still in high school and continuing with honors coursework and undergraduate research while completing my Biophysics and Mathematics B.S. degrees at the University of Connecticut and graduating with Phi Beta Kappa. I have tutored for 3 years at the college level as both a private tutor at the University of Connecticut and working for the athletics department at University of Connecticut where I was trusted in making sure student athletes got sufficiently good grades to stay on their teams. I work with college students of all levels and majors and adapt my lessons to their goals and expectations for their path of study. I'm nonjudgemental and I make sure my students are not afraid to tell me when they don't understand things and that their confusion is well attended to and cleared up with as little stress as possible. I'm not your typical introverted math student and have communication skills to explain mathematical concepts in ways that are simple to grasp. I put an emphasis on listening to my students and what they feel they need to learn and how they learn best and am chock-full of ideas and suggestions if the student has no preferences themselves. I look forward to helping you fulfill your math goals smoothly without all the frustration, whether they be requirements or a central part of your college education.
