Hi my name is Doug, I have been teaching drum lessons since 2014 and love helping my students become better drummers. I have spent 22 years playing drums and have been playing professionally for the last 14 years working as a touring and session drummer. The reason I got into teaching is because my privet drum instructor inspired me to teach. I was also asked a lot of questions by other drummers on my approach behind the drum set and found that I really enjoyed talking about drumming and the techniques of drumming, and at one point started meeting up with these drummers to show them what I was doing and talked to them about what and who inspired me to play.
