Spanish lessons with me are unique due to the fact that I not only did score too high on my placement test at the university, I was able to learn it swiftly because it is similar to Portuguese (my primary language). I began learning Spanish when I was younger (elementary school) and I also listened to music in Spanish. I watched telenovelas (soaps), I would hear Spanish around me as I grew up. For example, whenever family friends would visit, we would visit them, we spoke over the phone, I took Spanish in high school. I currently interpret for others at work, I speak Spanish with my Spanish speaking coworkers, I speak with my Spanish speaking friends, etc. I will make learning it fun!
