Hello! I have been playing the drums since I was 3 years old and have always loved to share my joys of playing music. I have been fortunate to study under the best performers in the world and have applied their knowledge into my lesson plans for each student.
I am a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where I studied many styles of music including Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues, Jazz, Latin, and Brazilian, as well as music theory courses from classical theory to advanced jazz theory. I have years of experience teaching students as Director of Percussion at the Woodward Academy, South Cobb High School, and as well as teaching privately.
With each student I create a unique lesson plan that aligns to their goals and current skill level. Lessons are taught so that the process can be ENJOYED; music needs to make us happy both in creating and listening. Music theory and concepts are taught alongside technique and "chops" to ensure a well-rounded musician is formed.
