I am currently a student at the New School of Jazz working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz drums. My lessons are designed for beginners. The main goal of my lessons are to create a solid and well-rounded foundation within the student. As a result, the student will learn various styles, learn how to read and transcribe, learn technique, and, in general, learn the skills needed to play with others, whether that be in a jam session with friends, the jazz band at school, or in your own band. While there will be a standard curriculum within the lessons, each lesson will be customized to meet the needs and goals of the student. My personal passion is jazz, however, the fundamentals that you will learn are essential for a drummer in any style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your musical journey!
