D. Jeanne R. is a classically trained pianist (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), with over 20 years of experience in education, performance and production. She began her career as a full-time studio piano teacher/performer in Chapel Hill and Raleigh, NC, and for over a decade, sponsored studio recitals, workshops, and produced award-winning students in regional and national competitions.
Ms. R. then took a career turn by pursuing theatre and production in Charlotte, NC. She owned her own theatre company, and acted as producer, playwright, musical director and performer for some six years. The NY theatre called to her, and she relocated in NYC, where she has been since then -- pursuing various artistic endeavors.
Currently, Ms. R. is an adjunct professor at Monroe College, where she teaches music and French, in addition to teaching privately. As a pianist, Ms. R. performs publicly, and enjoys working with composers on unusual projects. For example, she has recently been involved in unusual performances -- like composer Wendy Mae Chambers' "Kun" for toy piano.
Ms. R. has recently become involved in music production. She served as Associate Producer on 5-Grammy nominated latin jazz recording, "Hot House/Casa Caliente," and is again in the studio working on the band's new release.

Mme. Ross is the best professor I've ever had. She incorporates all of the arts while teaching my favorite subject French! I am so grateful to have found her.
