    About Devin V.

I have been involved in theatre for the majority of my life. Growing up, I participated in numerous theatre camps that eventually led to my love and passion for this art which I went on to study at a collegiate level. My love for theatre transcends just acting and performing – I love teaching and working with future artists on not only honing their craft, but discovering themselves through art. I studied Theatre Arts at Sacramento State University where I participated in six productions and competed at KCACTF (Irene Ryan Acting Competition) as both a partner and a nominee. I also was awarded "Outstanding Student 2016" - the prestigious departmental award. Upon graduation, I worked with Capital Stage Theatre Company as a directing intern on their 2017 production of STUPID BIRD. I’ve worked as an assistant director for projects at KM Dance Arts as well as recently taking on the position of Director of the Summer Musical Theatre Intensive: a program where I lead between fifteen and twenty-five students in summer process where we put on a musical theatre production. As a working actor, I've acted with Capital Stage Theatre Company in their production of THE WOLVES. I also have worked with Sacramento Theatre Company in their production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and worked as a Teaching Artist. I love performing, I love talking and interacting with people, and I really love the art of collaborating and working towards a goal; which I believe is a valuable tool to help teach to anyone interested in Acting!
