Devin is a professional pianist and composer in the Los Angeles area. As a pianist, he specializes in Jazz, Classical, and pop piano. He has toured the world playing festivals and events, and has appeared on TV shows such as Jane the Virgin playing piano. As a composer, he has written music for The Voice, NFL Football, Mercedes-Benz, and hundreds of other TV shows and ad campaigns. Devin is also a professor of Jazz Piano and Music Theory at the Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena. He has a degree in jazz piano and composition from UC Irvine. While Devin appreciates and understands the utility of fundamental piano and music theory, he strives to tailor lesson plans for students specific interests. While it is often important to begin with basic piano and music theory, some of his students have branched out into songwriting, composing, orchestration, and arranging. Devin has had multiple students get accepted into prestigious art high schools under his teaching, being accepted into programs such as Jazz Studies, Contemporary Music, and Integrated Arts.
