Hello all prospective students. My name is Deondre R., and I am a 27 year old virtuoso. I have been a musician for 18 years, and I am classically trained, as well as trained in jazz, fusion, funk, rock, r&b, soul and neo-soul, and other styles of music. My goal is to give each student what they want when they are coming to learn from me. I will challenge intermediate and advanced musicians in ways that they may never expect, such as different workouts for muscle development in your fingers, music theory and composition for those who are into improving your songwriting, and for those who just wish to relax, guided sessions for music therapy. *** Lesson Details *** As a teacher, I am laid-back and no pressure, but I am challenging and will guide you, the student, in the direction that you wish to go. My curriculum is is based on what each student wants and is looking to learn. Each lesson is specially designed to aid you, the student, in the direction that you want. Such lessons include: Scale workouts and exercises Arpeggios Interval Harmonies Ear Training Sight Reading Composition Advanced Composition And for students just beginning to learn guitar, lessons will include: Studying and learning your favorite songs Beginning scales and finger strengthening exercises Beginning sight reading After 3-6 months, you, the student, should learn proper neck placement of scales, improved your sight reading, have better relative pitch, and learned or have composed, any song you want. Each week, you will notice progress, and every week we will review 20% percent of the previous lesson, before moving on to that weeks lesson. *** Studio Equipment *** Private music/recording studio with instruments and recording equipment. *** Travel Equipment *** Books for learning, and recorder to record their sessions and watch their progress.
