    About Dennis T.

    Dennis Tobenski is a composer and vocalist with 12 years of professional experience, and offers lessons in Composition, Classical Voice, and Music Theory. Dennis has been actively making music since the age of 9, when he first picked up a viola and joined his grade school orchestra. He began singing at the age of 12, and composed his first work at 14. He received two Bachelor of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Theory & Composition from Illinois State University. He received an M.A. in Music from City College of New York, where he studied with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Del Tredici. He released his first album in 2016 on the Perfect Enemy label, and is currently working on his second. His blog series "The Composer's Guide to Doing Business" is the top-recommended resource for composers by the Peabody Conservatory Music Entrepreneurship Center, and he hosts the "Music Publishing Podcast", which helps concert musicians to navigate business and career issues.
