Italian with Delia D.

Buongiorno a tutti! I am Delia, a native Italian speaker from Sicily. Born and raised in Catania, I am very passionate about Italy and Italian culture. I use a variety of materials in my classes to give my students the chance to learn according to their skills. My main goal is that you’ll become not just proficient in the formal language, but also and above all in day-to-day conversation and culture. I lived in Florida for 3 years where I studied and earned my MBA. There I tutored a variety of students, and all of them fell in love with the language and with Italy. I earned my undergraduate degree in Fashion Design in Rome where I grew a profound appreciation for classical history and literature and developed my enthusiasm for fashion and art. I love to share my passion for all things Italian. This is why in all of my language lessons I will bring you on a virtual journey to Italy: we will learn using tips for your trips, listening to songs and watching movies, cooking authentic Italian food, discussing together and appreciating the artistic beauties that you can find all over Italy. I am proud to say that all my students reached their goals from being able to easily move around during an Italian vacation, get into an Italian college, or improve sharply their language skills.
