    Hello! I have over 30 years experience teaching private piano lessons and have been an orchestra and choir director for a public school district for over 20 years as well. I served as high school piano accompanist for State Festivals for 15 years. I hold a Bachelors of Music Education and currently am pursuing a Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University. I endeavor to make learning fun for the student and utilize proven methods to motivate students to learn. I am a professional pianist, all styles. My specialty is Classical and Jazz piano, beginning to advanced. I play Jazz professionally for concerts and venues, with over 20 years experience.     I have been a private studio teacher of piano, guitar, voice, violin, mandolin for over 30 years. I have taught band, orchestra, and choir in public schools for over 20 years, which enables me to teach many instruments and voice. I hold an ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE ENDORSEMENT, K-12, from University of Phoenix and teach non-English learners English. I have performed concerts professionally as a jazz and classical pianist, and guitarist, for over 20 years. I also have been a language and reading tutor for over 6 years in Arizona and have worked with students with special needs for over 10 years. I have a Language Arts college minor and have taught Middle and High School Language Arts in Montana public schools. I also teaching acting lessons, and have acted in numerous theater plays and films. I HAVE OVER 12 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE GRAMMAR AND FLUENCY TEACHER AND HOLD AN English as a Second Language Endorsement, certified in Arizona, Grades K-12. I have been a Middle and High School substitute teacher in Science, Language Arts, and Reading teacher for 15 years part time. I studied classical guitar with master guitarist, Christopher Parkening, at Montana State University where I graduated with a BACHELOR IN MUSIC EDUCATION, K-12; piano and voice were my focus of study. I also did graduate work at MSU in composition. I am completing a MASTER'S DEGREE IN TEACHER LEADERSHIP currently at Grand Canyon University. I teach Suzuki piano and violin. I am an accomplished composer/songwriter with many published and recorded songs and instrumental works through ASCAP. I endeavor to make learning fun, and enjoy teaching students of all ages! I OFFER ONCE WEEKLY OR TWICE MONTHLY LESSONS. Online student requirements: A fast, reliable COMPUTER; HIGH SPEED INTERNET (at least 400 kbps); WEBCAM (preferably HD); MICROPHONE (most laptops or tablets have mikes built in). Be sure your camera is focused on you and your instrument, if applicable. For 2021 students, follow customer service directions for Take Lessons Classroom. Students who cancel lessons without a 24 hour notice may incur a charge. Learning materials may be provided by the instructor. *** Travel Equipment *** Books. Students must have their own instrument (keyboards are acceptable for taking piano lessons). I always council students on brand, quality of instrument they are purchasing before they buy it.

    Great lesson! She got straight to the point of what I needed to know, caught my mistakes quickly, recapped everything clearly and gave me clear direction on my homework. I can't wait to practice this week and then have another lesson!
