As a teacher, I am patient and relaxed. I don't believe in rushing to improvement, but taking the best route for my students personal success. Having trained in both the communicative method and Callan method, I understand that learning a new language takes a combination of talking, listening, reading and writing to be successful. I am an American living abroad in Brazil, with a love of art, dancing, drawing, making cosplay, going on hikes, and discussing world history, events, and politics. I have a love of adventure and challenging myself to learn something new everyday, abroad or at home in the States. Currently, I am teaching English as a volunteer here in Brazil and learning Portuguese at the same time. I understand completely the difficulties in learning a new language; I struggle with Portuguese everyday, but also make improvements, too. My specialties are conversational English, vocabulary, and dictation.
