I am a retired Assistant Professor of English from the University System of Georgia. I have two Masters of Arts degrees--one in English, with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition from Georgia State University and the other one in Adult Education and Continuing Education from University of Missouri-Kansas City, MO. My 35+ years of full-time experience and formal training have equipped me with the expertise and resources to make essay writing and grammar application easy, stress free and fun. I teach writing students of all different ages and experience levels. Students can learn to organize or structure an academic essay and to develop the various rhetorical modes of essays while simoultaneously enhancing content and development. With weekly practice, students can expect to be able to write a well organized and well developed essay on any assigned writing prompt/topic. Because of my teaching philosophy that correct writing is not correct without correct grammar and punctuation, I also teach practical grammar skills. These skills will be assessed, initially, and I will develop a customized, organized grammar and punctuation review for each writer. My numerous years of grammar expertize have prepared me to assist learners of various levels to become confident users. My personal passion is researching and writing nonfiction. I enjoy writing and look forward to meeting you and assisting you on your writer's journey.
