I have studied for 18 years of private and college level piano lessons myself and a Bachelors Degree Organ Emphasis. I am a professional musician including piano, cello, harp, organ. Teaching has been a passion and I have taught a lot of successful students and I think they would all say that lessons were fun and practice was work but fulfilling. I am a solid teacher and I want you to learn how to read a page of music correctly and play with passion. I get results by encouragement not fussing. I can teach you to improvise from a lead sheet, play that favorite classical piece with abandon, improvise from the hymnbook, etc. I can teach you the way to get the most out of a short practice session if you are in a time crunch. "Oh no practice at all this week"? or "my mom forgot my music books"......Well all is not lost, so we will do rhythm drills, ear training, sight reading, and staff dictation.!
