Oboe with Deborah C.

I have been a private music instructor for over 20 years. I earned a B.A. in music (oboe performance) from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, and a M.A. and PhD in musicology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I enjoy working with children and teenagers. While my approach to teaching piano and oboe is classically based and my approach to violin instruction is Suzuki based, I adapt my method depending on the learning style of the student. My primary goals in teaching is to inspire the student and instill a love and passion for music. On a practical note, I have four fluffy and very friendly cats living at my home studio. If the kitties create a problem for you, I can travel to your home.
