Hi, there! My name is Deanna and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2008 and have loved helping my students gain confidence and self-esteem through music. Vocal students gain strength and versatility, increase their range, and eliminate their "break." Piano and ukulele students learn how to read music, perform artistically, compose, play chords so they can play in a band, how to learn new music quickly and more.
l have been performing for 37 years in dance, singing and in theater and I've learned how to ease nerves, create compelling stage presence, and give my best performance even when things go wrong back stage. I became a certified instructor in the Blaylock Vocal Method in 2016 and I teach the Wunderkeys program for preschool piano students.
I'm a caring teacher that can guide you and challenge you kindly to new levels of performance. Working with me you'll get to sing or play songs you love and learn new songs to showcase your talents.
We always work toward your goals, not mine, and my teaching style is encouraging and focused on the mechanics of singing and grounded in personal development and success techniques. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
The Blaylock Vocal Method is an integrated approach to vocal artistry by establishing the conditions to balance the voice, achieving the desired results of vocal artistry and endurance. You may consider this as musical artistry which demands techniques that must be engineered for lasting function of the vocal instrument.Show More

Everything I could have hoped for in vocal training.
I get frustrated with myself (particularly when I compare myself (foolishly) to others) often and I wonder if it's worth it to take voice lessons (am I wasting my time/money, what am I hoping to accomplish blah blah)... And then I will have a session like our last where I feel inspired and confident. I appreciate Deanna's creative approach to learning, encouraging working on originals and other material that motivates me. I'm glad I found her. Or did she find me?Show More
My 4-year-old son has been taking lessons with Deanna for the past 6 months. I am a preschool teacher. I was immediately impressed by how Deanna was able to connect with my child and work with him with such calmness and ease. My son tried many different classes and has had many different instructors. Deanna has by far been his favorite instructor and he is always excited and ready for class. The program she uses is wonderful, it introduces children to sequencing and patterns, fine motor skills and development and so much more. I highly highly recommend classes with Deanna. We love her!Show More
