Students will learn to use their hearing and pay attention to the differences in sound and pitch as well as rhythm. Weather to become a better singer or Supliment their instrumentation, they will learn to identify notes and intervals better and apply it to their music.

For music, I have formal education in European classical music and jazz . I play double bass and bass guitar.  I've played all over the world and I have toured and recorded with many names.  I also have a passion for health and wellness. I've been teaching martial arts for several years and I'm a certified personal trainer. I speak, Spanish fluently as my second language.i also speak French and Portuguese.

Dean is an exceptionally patient instructor. He always takes the time to thoroughly address my questions and concerns, and helps me overcome obstacles created by my bad habits. He has many different approaches to problems and has a knack for finding alternative solutions whenever the first method of teaching doesn't produce results. In just 3 lessons, I have improved my technique greatly.

My son said he learned more in one lesson with Dean than he learned in two years playing in the school orchestra! He is excited about his upright bass again and is confident Dean can help him get ready for his SDYS Orchestra audition!

Dean is an excellent teacher. With his background in classical as well as contemporary genres of music, plus his thorough, patient style and experience as a performer makes him an excellent instructor.

I was very nervous to try capoeira. When I would watch videos  I thought, "I can't do that"... Dean makes every class push you and encourage you to do your best and sure enough a few months later I CAN do a lot of things I didn't think my body could do before. Capoeria with Dean really has changed the relationship I have with my body and what's possible.

Dean is a great instructor.  He is patient, and his relaxed demeanor makes for a very friendly and inviting atmosphere.  He is very knowledgeable in music, and he's very encouraging in a lesson.  I would recommend him to anyone serious in pursuing music.
