I taught three late-elementary and early-middle school aged students for 2 years, and received praise from their parents for my students' interest and engagement with their learning.

Drum Instructor

I teach how I taught myself: intuitively. I have been playing drums for over 10 years, have played in over 20 bands, have studied the psychology of expert performance and how to achieve maximum focus. My background and approach is unique to other teachers and you will not find it anywhere else.

I will make custom lessons for you based on exactly what you want to learn and your skill level. You will not be reading any notation, doing rudimentary traditional techniques, or anything of the sort. We will have fun with this while also taking practice and progression seriously. I will always teach you what is just beyond your comfort zone, provide you with easy to understand practice techniques, and train you to be the best drummer you can be.

My teaching approach uniquely combines performance psychology, deep focus methods, and creative development. I want my students to maximize their creative potential and stay deeply focused and meaningfully engaged, so they love what they do and how they do it.

I have taught myself drums for over the past 10 years and have written music and performed with over 20 bands. I come from a creative and non-academic background, and have developed my own style of teaching that you will not find anywhere else.
