I create customized lesson plans for each of my students to ensure each lesson is a positive experience. The curriculum is taught using different method books, including Suzuki, and styles of music tailored to the students interests and goals.
My focus is on good physical technique, practice techniques, and performance habits. As well as basic music theory skills that help with overall musicality.

I have been playing cello for over 20 years and have taught private lessons as well as group string classes on and off throughout that time.
I recently returned to Metropolitan State University of Colorado to obtain a degree in Cello Performance and currently play in several Metropolitan State University ensembles, including the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble. I am the sole cellist for the Mile High String Quartet (available for hire milehighquartet.com). I also contract performance work for weddings, churches and local theater companies.
My past playing experience consists of solo performances, group and chamber performances, as well as several orchestras including the Front Rang Youth Symphony, Symphony in the Vail Valley, and the Centennial Philharmonic. I have also played cello and sang with many local bands in genres including blues, bluegrass, singer songwriter, and indie rock.
