With 8 years of experience in teaching physics, I find most students that struggle, lack a solid math/problem solving skill set. So we focus first on dissecting the question before getting into the not got off physics concepts. With this approach, many students find they do not need tutoring after a few sessions. I feel this is truly a teachers job-- to get a student to be independent.

I'm a certified teacher with 8 years of teaching experience in high school chemistry at all levels and non-AP physics. I also have experience teaching organic and general chemistry in college. Additionally, I have had much experience and success tutoring middle school and high school math. I believe the job of a tutor is to teach skills for the future, not just content so that students may succeed in all classes.
