I am a research scientist (Statistician) with a Ph.D. degree in Applied Statistics. I have over 10 years of experience as a researcher and statistician. I have studied M.Sc and Ph.D. degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. During my study for masters at UKZN, I have analyzed a complex multitude of data (repeated measures) from Sappi and CSIR, South Africa. For my research, I have used principal component analysis, time series modeling and linear mixed models. For Ph.D., my research was related to modeling the levels of self- treatments of malaria and I have used established statistical tools to explore the factors influencing malaria treatment using secondary data. The main emphasis of my research was to make contributions to the development of statistical tools to analyze any change in household characteristics and/or community characteristics, directly and indirectly, influence on the levels of self-treatment outcomes. I have published a number of publications in ISI journals. My research interest is biostatistics, model diagnostics, mixed models (linear, generalized and non-linear), spatial statistical methods, longitudinal and repeated measures, survey methods, survival analysis and applied statistics in almost all areas. I am very much interested to be involved in biological experiments.
