I have been teaching private lessons since 2011 and am currently available to teach lessons at your home and online. I coach students to find their true natural voice, acquire a better ear for listening, learn the methods to use the chest, head and passagio (mix of head and chest) ranges to the best of their abilities, and use a level of understanding and feeling to reach the very essence of the songs. I received my training at Northern Arizona University in 2001 where I received a degree in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and a Minor in Theatre. After college, I lived in New York for 6 years as a composer for the BMI Musical Theater Composition Workshop; where I learned the craft of musical writing. I then traveled to Oxford, MS. where I earned a Masters in Music Education in Choral Ed. at the University of Mississippi. I was also part of a semi/professional a cappella group called "First Inversion," a member of the cast in Texas the Musical Drama and continue to perform in the local community theaters . As an expert in my field, I look forward to helping new and older students alike to reach their goals of performance excellence. My teaching style is relaxed, honest, and full of passion for the art of singing.
