Truly enjoying lessons with Davis. Very helpful and understanding. Takes his time to explain various concepts that tie into my goals. Easy to work with, sends follow-up notes quickly. I have some experience but mostly self-taught. He's been helpful with technical knowledge while sharing practical ideas I can implement right away. I've been able to improve a lot faster since I started my lessons.

As an older, beginner student, now 72, I appreciate Davis’ teaching to my specific needs for the past three years. My need, or quirkiness, was to learn music theory because I had to know the history of music and circle of fifths in order to understand the mechanics of the piano while I was learning to play. As a retired ICU nurse, rationale matters! To me anyway. Plus it helped me to read and understand music much faster. He recommended the college level music theory course books and continues to oversee my work and reinforce understanding. He’s so patient! I told my husband that I’d follow my hairdresser anywhere, Now, I say that about my piano teacher! I started at his studio in Edmond, Oklahoma and now I’m remote learning in his new studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Davis is irreplaceable.

Davis has many special gifts, but best of all, he is patient. He shows compassion and gives kind thoughtful feedback to his students. He is flexible and let’s the students play the type of music they are interested in to help build confidence and that also encourages practice!

Davis is a very professional, efficient and an excellent piano teacher. He sees to it that Zophia is able to do her lessons properly and correctly even though the lesson is on-line and most importantly she understands her piano lessons very well. She always looks forward to her class every time. I recommend Davis 100% !

I went to graduate school with Davis, ran a music studio with him for several years, and have co-presented at national music education conferences with him. You won't find a teacher more dedicated to excellence at every level. Davis in constantly researching and innovating to find the best resources and teaching methods to equip his students for success. He also knows how to make lessons and learning fun! I definitely recommend lessons with Davis.
