Teaching for me is just as much about inspiring my students as it is for them to accomplish their goals. Both Math and Music are deeply rooted in our lives and it is a great benefit to practice and understand them . I not only enjoy the learning process, but efficiently pinpoint the needs of my students and work with them to understand the key concepts they need to continue growing on their own. *Lesson Recording Available* I have spent the last 13 years writing, recording and playing music. I have 10 years of experience playing guitar and 7 years teaching. I graduated from and currently work at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. I also have been recording, mixing and mastering with Pro Tools, Apple Logic and Ableton Live for the last 7 years and know the fine details of all things audio. Ever since I was young my parents pushed me to improve my math skills with such games as "What has the best value?", "The license plate game" and "How much do we save?" This little seed quickly blossomed into a love of all things numbers. I have always excelled in advance placement classes and to this day enjoy helping my friends with their college math courses. *** Lesson Details *** Music/Guitar Lessons are designed to get students to play right away. When first learning how to play guitar, the biggest challenge is the physical actions required to play notes, switch chords, and coordinate the "Fretting Hand" (the hand that presses the string) and the "Picking hand" (the hand the plucks the sting). After asking the student what style they would like to play, I develop a customized routine that has the student practicing while they think they are playing.
