I specialize in teaching fundamentals. Proper embouchure, breathing, in order to produce a full tone quality. I use the Arbans, Schlossberg, and Herbert L Clarke method books in my teachings. I teach both classical and jazz.

David Smith is a fantastic teacher, musician and communicator. He understands how to diagnose what issues a student is facing on the horn. He played a very big role in the preparation I did for my senior recital when I was an undergraduate trumpet student, and he was very encouraging throughout the whole process.
