Hello, Everyone! Native English speaker here. Im an Ivy League Junior Student from Brown University in the P.L.M.E Medical Program and am currently pursuing majors in "Health and Human Biology" and "Spanish Language." I have 6 years of Spanish Language training and education under my belt, have taught as a volunteer tutor for children in preschool for 4 year, as a tutor/translator for all subjects in an elementary school near Brown University for 2 years, and graduated from High School in Ohio as Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. I was also a Teacher's Assistant (T.A.) at Brown University for Cellular and Molecular Biology, and was the only TA in recent years to be given high reviews by the STUDENTS, who sent emails to the professor (without any instruction to do so) claiming that they really hope I stay as a TA for the coming semester. They were also just really sweet Freshman and Sophomore kids, so it wasn't very difficult to tutor them while in class. Come to me about anything! Spanish lessons, ESL Lessons, Basic Math, Moderate to Advanced Science/Biology, and more; all right here! Just ask, and I hope to see you soon.

    Experience

    Cellular and Molecular Biology TA

    Jan, 2018 - May, 2018

    Brown University

I performed multiple tasks, from preparing brief and condensed, but also direct and informative PowerPoints and review sessions to fix any questions held by students about the information presented in class. This could include development of games that incentivized thinking with others for extended response explanations to ensure that all students could come together to form the right answer, increasing their likelihood of retention. This could also include running in the rain to grab a snack for my section's students. I managed two different sections with two equally wonderful TA partners, and came to understand the names of my students and their individual strengths and weaknesses in the course. I also spent many hours with an "open email," meaning that I was giving students multiple hours in which they could email me about topics and previous questions on prior exams so that they could express their confusion and learn by my side. I hope to carry on this passion for my students with all of those that I meet on here.
