Songwriting with David P.

I am a classically trained pianist and composer with a doctoral degree in music composition and just recently moved to the Philadelphia area. I've been giving private piano, composition and music theory lessons for the past seven years. Before that I taught classes at the University level in music theory and electronic music. My music has been performed in the US and Europe and I've played and premiered new music in the US by other living composers. Music has always been my passion and I teach music so I can share that passion with others. Recently I've been involved with a startup company called Illiac Software that develops educational software for teaching music theory. I'm also a member of the Philadelphia Music Teachers Association, Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association.
