I teach various styles of music including, jazz, fusion, funk,Afro-Cuban , neo-soul and rock. I teach rudiments and classical drum technique utilizing various method books in order to facilitate proper technique, coordination ,chart reading, and overall musicianship. Improvisation is key to communication on the band stand . I coach students on how to practice efficiently and effectively in order to be able to play music with others. Lessons are geared to students’ goals and learning styles.

David is an extremely talented, knowledgeable and caring musician and teacher, proficient on multiple instruments, who both performs, plays, composes and manages in the music industry. I have known him many years and have always observed him to take keen interest in his students no matter their age or skill level. He communicates well and is always seeking to find the best way to develop and nurture the innate talents of his students and to help them to become the best musician they can be while having fun.
