With a Degree in Communication from UCSB and as a graduate of Musicians Institutes world famous GIT program I am able to enable anyone to achieve their musical goals. I am the founder of and lead instructor for Anvil Guitar Instruction. I began playing music at the age of 14 and studied with several private instructors before graduating from high school. Studying with many teachers has given me a unique perspective on the essentials of an effective private music instructor. Throughout high school and college I played with musicians that focused on a wide range of musical styles, this significantly broadened his musical prowess. After Classical Music training at UCSB I elected to graduate with a degree in Communication and Philosophy. I officially founded Anvil Guitar Instruction in 2003 and soon decided to pursue a formal education in music. I enrolled in the G.I.T. Degree program at Musicians Institute in the fall of 2004. M.I. is the world’s premier school of contemporary music performance and recording. The training I received there is immeasurable. I honed my craft and gleaned inspiration from some of the greatest players in the world. I also gained experience writing and performing with my band Springtime Is Wartime. We created a blend of hard rock with funk grooves and odd time signatures. We released three albums.
