Bassist David Cutler is quickly becoming one of the most sought after sidemen in the New York music scene. Since emerging on the scene in 2010, he has become a fixture in New York's burgeoning R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and Improvised music communities. As a sideman, David has recently supported the likes of Iggy Azalea, SZA and JT Taylor (the voice of Kool and The Gang) as well as many New York based artists. David is passionate about education and was a teaching artist in Grammy Award winning pianist/composer Arturo O'Farrill's Afro Latin Jazz Alliance from 2010-2014. With ALJA, David taught bass and guitar in some of NYC's public schools. He was also an instructor at Lagond Music School from 2007-2010. David is the bassist at The Lesson, one of NYC's most progressive live music events. He can be seen performing with house band Gentai Kaijo every Thursday at Arlene's Grocery.
