Classical Piano with David B.

David B. is a saxophonist, doubler, composer, arranger, teacher and bandleader based in Denver Colorado. He performs regularly in Colorado as well as in other states as a freelance musician in an assortment of genres from big band and musical theater to EDM and funk. In addition, he collaborates with original musical projects including a jazz trio named “Seahorses Forever” and his own ensembles including a “Bari/Organ Trio”. David is currently working as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Thompson Jazz Studies program at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he leads ensembles and helps with the jazz faculty courses, while simultaneously working towards a Masters degree in Jazz Studies and Pedagogy. David earned his bachelor’s degree in 2016 and a performance certificate in 2017 both in Jazz Studies from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, Colorado. David is a recipient of two Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards. Some notable jazz musicians he has worked/performed with include, Bob Mintzer, Wayne Bergeron, Greg Gisbert, Frank Greene, Ellis Marsalis, Denis Diblasio, Steve Wiest, Dave Holland, and Lee Konitz.
