I am a recent graduate from Columbia University and teach a systematic, step-by-step approach to problem-solving and test-taking that has served me well over the years. Often, the part of the SAT that causes a student to struggle is not the content, but rather the structure. In my experience, mastering this internal structure is half the battle, and is just as important as the subject matter itself. Through practicing both of these aspects in tandem, I was able to score a 2320 on the SAT in 2015 and gain entrance to several top schools, including Columbia and Harvard.

Teaching since:

Hello! I recently graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Music and a 3.8 overall GPA, where I focused on trumpet performance, composition, and music theory. In my work, I focus on classical, experimental, and improvised music. While in college, I also completed coursework in mathematics, physics, computer science, literature, and philosophy, as well as a summer research project in the Columbia Astrophysics Department.

I tutor a variety of subjects and am passionate about helping younger students achieve their goals. I feel strongly that anyone can excel in the classroom and on standardized tests, provided they have both quality instruction and personal motivation. I teach a systematic, step-by-step approach to problem-solving and test-taking that has served me well over the years. Here are my testing credentials:

SAT: 2320 (99th percentile, taken in 2015)
AP Exams: Calculus AB (5), Calculus BC (5), Literature & Composition (5), Music Theory (5), Physics B (4), World History (4)

I live in Harlem, Manhattan, and can either host you in my home or travel to meet you throughout NYC. I hope to hear from and work with you!
