I have been teaching privately since 1987 and am available to teach at my home studio or your home. I have helped students achieve first chair positions in school band, pass college entrance auditions, become professional musicians, and become successful private instructors. I received my training at Oral Roberts University from 1980-1985 where I received a degree in Music Composition and worked on my Master's degree in Woodwind Doubling at Azusa Pacific University from 2008-2011. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Della Reese, Johnny Mathis, Vicki Carr, Andre Crouch, as well as played and written for cartoons such as "Ren and Stimpy", "Angry Beavers", "Jimmy Neutron", and various children's projects for Disney and Sesame Street. As an expert in my field, I look forward to helping new students achieve their goals.

Dave is a master of all the different saxophone styles. His command of all the different saxophones and woodwinds is superb. His concise explanations make learning quick and easy. Whether it's technique or improvisation, you can't go wrong with Dave.

I did my homework, as Dave asked, and within 15 minutes of practicing, almost all the keys/notes/finger placement came right back! Like a lightbulb. Thank you, Dave! I'm so excited to be playing again!
