Music Theory with Dave A.

I'm a Los Angeles based guitarist, widely known for work with musical agencies, local big bands, and my jazz-fusion group. I've shared the stage with such artists as Jeff Hamilton, Bob Reynolds and Bob Mintzer. I’m an experienced teacher of 4 years, specialized for the beginner/intermediate/advanced guitar student. All ages are welcome. I believe that great technique is essential to every style. I teach musical styles including rock, folk, metal, pop, blues, jazz, funk, R&B and classical. I customize my teaching material according to the needs, strength, and weakness of each individual student I work with, and I provide the student opportunities to investigate other areas of interest related to their goals. Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of music theory, ear training, sight-reading, technique and more.
