Hello, my name is Darren Faris. I am a State Certified Teacher in the State of Texas. I was graduated from Lamar University in 1992 with a BS in Kinesiology. I own Faris Technical Institute in Nederland, Texas. I have been teaching Medical and Legal Administrative courses including all of the MS offices programs, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project as well as others and I have also been teaching keyboard speed building since 1986. I have been teaching computer aided drafting on AutoCAD since 1992. Courses include Geometrical Construction, Isometrics, Industrial Pipe Drafting, Architectural, Structural Steel, Topographical and 3D. Some of my students were non-English speaking so I taught ESL just to get them to learn the courses they signed up for. I have also owned and operated Academic Technical Institute which I taught children from 1st-12th grades. Reading, writing and Math were the main courses but there were others as well. I am currently teaching ESL as an independent contractor for VIPKid. I teach Chinese children ages 4-12 English as a second language online. I also have been teaching music lessons for the last 10 years or so. My top tier instruments are harmonica, violin/fiddle, acoustic rhythm guitar while singing. I teach intro lessons on the keyboard, banjo, mandolin and bass. Depending on the time of the year I am also an outfitter in Colorado for deer and elk hunting. I am a fly fishing guide. I teach fly tying for trout and I'm a snow ski instructor. This is all one on one or in small groups and by appointment only. I look forward to helping you achieve you're goals whatever they may be.
