Hello there! My name is Daria and I am a highly experienced tutor and teacher who is excited to help YOU reach your goals in your educational journey. I offer high-quality, individualized instruction in music, ESL, and writing, bringing my 10+ years of experience in the education field to you.
I am a professional musician with over 10 years' experience teaching private lessons and tutoring music theory and history. I have held principal flute positions with two major orchestras in Asia and have performed with the St. Louis Symphony and Seattle Symphony, among many others. I have extensive academic experience with music theory and history and hold a Bachelor's in Music from the Eastman School of Music, a Master's from McGill University in Montreal, and a Doctorate in Musical Arts (ABD) from the University of Washington.
I offer fun and engaging lessons to students of all ages on the following instruments: flute (all levels), piano (beginner to intermediate), and voice (beginner). In addition, I am also available for music theory, history, and sight-singing tuition.
I also offer ESL instruction for all levels and ages. I am a CELTA-certified instructor and have taught ESL for over 5 years, including preparation for the TOEFL and IELTS tests.
Finally, I offer writing tuition and SAT/ACT test preparation. Please message for more details.
Personable and fun, I combine a lighthearted approach to learning with dedication to the educational process, and work hard with my students to achieve their goals.
