I started playing piano at the age of four and haven't been able to stop playing music since! Originally classically trained, I went on to play professionally and studied jazz performance at the University of Utah. I've played in bands of many styles including pop, rock, jazz and country, and have opened for well-known known acts such Chris Young. I've also performed solo for many years in high end hotels and restaurants. My strength as a teacher is being able to discover my students' unique musical strengths and guiding them reach their individual musical goals. Many of my students of all ages have achieved musical skill beyond what they had originally hoped, performing in bands and writing music of their own. Whether your goals are learning how to improvise, sight read, or play rock and blues, I'll make sure that you're playing the music that inspires you and motivates you learn quickly.
