Hi!

My name is Daphne, and I've been working in the fashion industry for over a decade in NYC and in LA. I graduated from FIDM in 2004 with an AA degree in Fashion Design. 

Fashion should be fun and exciting, and my lessons are just that. If you're anything like me, you probably struggled with learning when the teacher or lesson is boring. I treat you like a good friend in our lessons, and I am very patient and can come up with different methods for an effective learning experience. 

For this course, using Adobe Illustrator, I teach you tools and shortcuts to use to create flat sketches from scratch. You can easily create vector artwork for logos, tech packs, detailed sketches, and graphics. I go over each step with you, and make sure you understand how each tool works and master each step before we move onto the next. 

Typically my students don't need to take more than 2 lessons from me. Although my teaching style is generally very relaxed and fun, I use tools and techniques that I've learned from all my experience to make the lesson super focused. 

Whether you're someone who's just interested in fashion, or someone who's in the industry already and would like some supplemental lessons, my lessons serve to fit your needs.

I'm a fashion designer with over 12 years of experience and based in the Los Angeles area. I have worked in NYC, LA, and Shanghai with major brands such as Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, and Paige. I've worked from large corporations to small operations, and have learned how to multi-task efficiently at fast pace environments. 

Currently, I am working on my fashion start-up that I launched successfully on Kickstarter. If you're interested in starting your own company, I would be happy to walk you through the necessary steps. Being a mentor is something I enjoy immensely. I love meeting like-minded people that are passionate about what they do. 

I love to teach my clients in my favorite Coffee Bean shop (free parking!) in the West Los Angeles area. I work with designers, artists, and students in a wide age range, assorted skill levels.
