I am an academically trained professional artist with the overall working experience of about 20 years and an impressive record of exhibitions (two of them are museum one-man shows) in the USA and abroad. I am teaching in three languages: ENGLISH, HEBREW and RUSSIAN, representational, realist, impressionist/post-impressionist, expressionist (Fauvism and Expressionism) and abstract painting and drawing with the emphasis on European tradition. I am working and teaching in different mediums, like charcoal, graphite, acrylic, oil, watercolour and soft/oil pastels. I have a Russian classic art education, MFA from Pratt Institute (Painting /Drawing) and about 15 years of teaching experience. Currently, I am working as a commissioned portrait artist and also performing on stage with some well-known musicians as a multimedia artist and real-time digital painter. As an art educator, I specialize in students of different ages and skill levels. I have developed a methodology for teaching the beginners of pre-pension or relatively late age. I believe in dialogue in education and for this reason, I never record my lessons, except for the promotional purposes. I teach online, in my studio or at a student’s home.
