The JMU Spring String Thing is an amazing weekend-long orchestra camp for middle and high school students. Students spend the weekend learning music in a skill-appropriate orchestra, staying in the JMU Dorms, participating in social events, and concluding with a beautiful concert for the parents. I have counseled this event, serving as both a counselor and as a section coach with the students, for the past 6 years. I have no plans of leaving this amazing event!
