Responsibilities included applying pedagogical and philisophical practices as part of the four-person elementary instrumental team. Balancing nearly 300 students at seven different schools teaching General Music (Grades 1-3), Elementary Band/Strings (Grades 3-6). Co-managing trips including elementary band performance at the State Capitol in Harrisburg in May, 2017. Experienced with both Special Ed and ELL students.

Responsibilities included organizing an inclusive after school “Improv Club” (Grades 7-9) driven by student interest. Cultivating an appreciation for and knowledge of the jazz idiom and it's history through musical modeling, rehearsing repertoire, and guiding students in the study of improvisation.

Philadelphia International Music Festival

Performing Artist

Responsibilities include performing in various musical styles on instruments in the flute, clarinet, and saxophone family, often in chamber ensembles, pit orchestras, big bands, small jazz ensembles, trios, duos, or as a solo musician.

Private Teaching

Responsibilities include maintaining a rotating studio of saxophone, flute, and clarinet students of different ages and skill levels. Instruction is focused primarily on technique, music theory, repertoire, composition and improvisation in various musical styles. Includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced study of pedagogy on saxophone, flute, and clarinet.

NAfME

National Association for Music Education (NAfME), among the world’s largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers. The Association orchestrates success for millions of students nationwide and has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century. Since 1907, NAfME has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers.

PMEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of over 4,500 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The present membership evolved from a small group of band directors dating from 1933. Today, the organization includes those engaged in music instruction at all levels, from preschool through college and university, as well as those in the music industry, merchandising and publishing. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities. PMEA is affiliated with The National Association for Music Education, NAfME.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America (also known as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Phi Mu Alpha, or simply Sinfonia) is an American collegiate social[1] fraternity for men with a special interest in music. The fraternity is open to men "who, through a love for music, can assist in the fulfillment of [its] Object and ideals either by adopting music as a profession, or by working to advance the cause of music in America."
