I am an avid saxophonist, flautist, and clarinetist with a passion for performing and teaching at the highest level. Since graduating from Temple in 2016, my teaching career has offered me many opportunities in the world of education. From my experience in public schools, to managing my own private lesson studio, I have gained an immense respect and appreciation for the craft of teaching. I believe in a skill-based learning approach. I encourage all of my students to learn the foundations of musicianship in conjunction with the fundamentals of their instrument to guide them in their life-long music learning.

Daniel Young's advanced Knowldge and unique style of teaching combine together to make an overall great learning experience for students struggling with music theory. Dan has helped me understand concepts of music theory that I have been struggling with for many years in a short amount of time due to his ideal way of introducing new concepts to a student. He will make sure you have a great foundation to work up from. Overall, he is an amazing teacher, and improvement will be made!

Dan is a wonderful teacher. He took the time to talk to me before we started playing to assess my existing knowledge and how we could build on it. He is clearly a passionate teacher which as an educator myself I sincerely appreciate! I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in taking lessons!
