I began studying piano when I was in middle school and quickly fell in love with the instrument. I have degrees in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters in performance from USC as well a doctorate from the University of Houston in Performance with a minor in music theory.
I have been performing and teaching music for over a decade in almost any setting imaginable. I have taught Kindergarten students, special courses at retirement homes, college courses on music, as well as college applied music lessons.

Dan is a wonderful teacher for my kid. My son is now very into music after studying with him. Each lesson he would learn so much and he always look forward to the next one. We are very lucky to have to teacher like him.

Dan is a wonderful musician and educator. I learnt so much from him and he has been very very supportive. I am very lucky to have him guide me learning music. I will not recommend anyone else but him for others to take lessons with.

Dan is a great musician, who helped me grasp all of the musical concepts I struggled with. He is an encouraging teacher who sets realistic expectations and wants to see you succeed. I had taken piano lessons with other teachers who didn't seem to enjoy teaching, but that is not the case with Dan! Our lessons are so much fun and I learn so much every time!
