    About Daniel S.

    4.8
    (7)
Daniel is a seasoned performer and vocal coach whose vocal style ranges from classical to classic rock. A graduate of Texas Womans University, he holds a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with emphasis in vocal performance, music composition, and music education. Daniel is a versatile artist and has performed in such roles as Falstaff (Evening with the Bard), Simone (Gianni Schicchi), Grandpa Moss (The Tender Land), Baptist Preacher (Denton Square Roots), Papageno (The Magic Flute), and Old Deuteronomy in the Denton Community Theaters production of Cats. Daniels teaching philosophy is "Your voice is good enough. We just need to bring it out." As a vocal pedagogue, Daniel is an expert in diagnosing vocal faults and finding new, individualized methods of instructing each student. He has taught students who range from ages 12 to 76 and is skilled in working with both aged and adolescent voices. "The greatest joy as a teacher is seeing your students perform confidently and successfully, while becoming better people in the process." Daniel also composes music that spans pop, classical, and modern works. He has taught several students in learning music theory through composition. Daniel believes music composition, used properly, can also be used to work through anxiety, depression, and other emotional distress. Daniel's most notable works were written for the Owina School in Nigeria.
