Daniel Ray graduated from Central Michigan University in 2020 with a Master's degree in music performance. As a graduate assistant, he served as co-concertmaster in the CMU symphony orchestra, coached sectionals and small ensembles, and taught lessons to undergraduate violin students. As a soloist, he performed in the CMU honors recital and received 2nd place in the Chamichian String Competition.

Previously, Daniel earned a B.A. in music performance from Luther College where he served as principal 2nd violin in the Luther College Symphony Orchestra. He was also a finalist in the the concerto competition, and received the Hemp Prize, which is awarded annually to an outstanding senior string musician.

Currently, Daniel works as a freelance performer and teacher from his residence in Bowling Green, Ohio. As a teacher, Daniel is committed to providing students the knowledge and technical foundation to achieve their musical goals.
